De Lammie

Welcome aboard the Lammie!

Unique and stylish accommodation in the heart of Rotterdam

The boat

The Lammie, which was built in 1939, but completely renovated a number of times – for the last in 2007 to a high standard, is an elegant little coastal cutter roughly 20 metres in length and with a beam of 5 metres.

The accommodation onboard consists of the Wheelhouse, a cosy and bright space with 360-degree views of the harbour, with padded bench seating and a revolving table – an ideal place for breakfast. Wooden stairs take you below decks to the stern saloon. This is a cosy place for reading and relaxing and is adjacent to the cockpit-bed which nestles in the stern of the boat and has it’s own portholes.

Carrying on through the passageway you pass the engine-room and the WC and Shower Room. Passing through the bulkhead door you enter the capacious suite in what was previously the ship’s cargo-hold. This large, light and airy space contains a galley kitchen with cooker / sink / refrigerator adjacent to the lounge with dining table, wood-burning stove and a double bed located towards the prow of the ship, with built-in LCD TV screen which can also be viewed from the Lounge. Adjacent to the sleeping area, in a separate room, is the en-suite toilet, and bath.

On deck there are tables and chairs on the after-deck looking out towards the historic ships and the quayside – ideal for a mid-day drink or a relaxing afternoon with a book. The deck amidships also provides a place to relax and faces southwest receiving the sun most of the day.
